I only know so much about trucks, but i have a 97 f150 4wd 4.6. I was going offroading at the beach when but right when i was about to get in the sand i realized that the front tires werent locking i thought i might be a relay or a fuse but nothing worked so the I put low range but it just made things worse. after some guy pulled us out the "4x4" sign and the "low range" sign were still on the dash i tried disconneting the front gearbox but it was still there also I tried taking the front drive shaft or whatever but it was still there i had to drive on lowrange all the way home if someone could give some advece that would be great
