Is there any cheap things that can be done on this trans to improve 1st to 2nd shifts i would like it to shift a little harder than it does now.

 

If you can do the work yourself, you will have less than $300 in the whole job -- including the oil and filter you will want to replace while you are in there.

Actually Factory Tech now has just a "plate mod" kit that you can get for around $75 from Mad Enterprises.

 

I had a chip which improved shift firmness, but by increasing the pump pressure. I switched to the Factory Tech Valve Body when I got rid of the chip, and I am very happy with it. Check out their website and you will be impressed. Also, service is outstanding. Factory Tech
