Coming home from fishing this weekend I was getting ready to climb a hill and dropped the OD out, lo and behold I lost third gear in the transmission. I can drive with OD off and the tranny weill never leave 2nd, with OD on the tranny shifts to third at around 55mph and the tranny slips 100%, I suspect I blew out a shift valve or solenoid, checked fluid level, OK, the tranny has 165K of hard towing, and I jsut installed a NEW engine last month....thoughts on this

 

Did not blow third, blew the OD Band. All of the crap that comes apart from this really hammers the tranny and block the ports.
