i am planning on purchasing an aode for my 93 2wd 150, then i am gonna buy a complete rebuild kit, and a shift kit, and i was thinking of a 2000-2600 stall converter. and i was gonna build it and throw it in my truck (there is nothing wrong with the stock tranny) i just wanna try and build one, so i figure build a good one for my truck..


i also plan:
intake
pulleys
3 inch flowmaster cat back single exit
and 410 rears
i want to give it some low end grunt.

and im assuming its an aode because i have a o/d switch on my shifter.......

does all of the above sound good for the tranny of is there a better combination?

 

Afaik all trucks came equipped with the 4r70w gearset. There are alot of parts you will want to update. I would suggest getting a 99 up core to start with and scrapping that early core.
