Not sure if you want to know what causes it, or what it feels like.

Feels Like: Passing over rumble strips for a couple of seconds when the vehicle shifts from 3-4, or a bad case 2-3, and 3-4.

Cause: Many, but normally bad tranny fluid causing the TC to vibrate on the shift. I believe it is due to the loss of additives in the bad fluid. A fluid change will normally fix TC shudder.

Hey, this is exactly what happen when my truck is shifting from 3 to 4 or from 4 to 3 . Last time i looked at the fluid i had nothing on the dip stick and the truck got only 16000km. I put 3/4 of mercon 5 in it and i went for 3 hours on the high way. Result,no problems

Thank's a lot.

DUDE! If you looked at the dip stick and it had nothing on it you are down at least 4 qts of ATF. If I were you I would take it to a shop and get the tranny serviced (flushed) or do it your self if you have the tools and know how. There are alot of good threads on this boad on how to change your tranny fluid.

If you had no fluid on the dip stick, and you only added 3/4 a quart, then you are still really low. The best way to check the tranny fluid is on level ground after you have driven around and brought the engine and tranny up to operating temps. Tranny fluid expands as it gets hot, so you need to check it hot.
