My tranny seems to shift fine, it is just a soft shift. Is this normal on this tranny? Is there any way to change the shift when I am doing a fluid change, without buying aftermarkett parts ? .

 

That is just the way the 4r70w is. The only way to change is to get a performance chip (not recommended to change shift firmness) or to get a shift kit or a new valve body. There is nothing you can do by just changing fluid. Sorry

 

if you want to change the shift you will need a shift kit, i have a factory tech valve body and i love it nice and hard 1-2 and firm 2-3, hope this helps
