Fixed 1-2 Hard Shift

Just wanted to let everyone know that today I finally fixed my hard 1-2 shift. I have done lots of research on this subject and it all led to the 1-2 accumulator and springs. About 5 months ago I removed the pan and examined the accumulator and springs and everything looked good. Well just today I decided to go ahead and replace the accumulator and both springs. WOW What a difference, shifts like a new truck. Thanks to everybody.

I still havent figured out why mine shifts so hard. It only does it when I have been driving for a while and the transmission has warmed up.

I will post the part #'s as soon as I can gather them up. I just have to find what I did with the packages. I will also post some detailed instructions. I will try to do it this afternoon.

Sorry Everyone,
I have been experiencing some computer problems in the last week or so and had to format and start over. I haven't forgotten about ya. I will post a list of part #'s tomorrow along with a detailed instruction list. Sorry for the wait.

Replacing the accumulator really isn't an issue unless you have the pre-97 aluminum accumulator piston, then it is critical.
The springs control the feel of the shift, a good shift kit will fill the clutches faster and decrease the shift timing.
I don't have the part numbers ,but everybody might want a different feel. For the hardest possible shift install the brown spring from a 2001 5.4 transmission only. For a not so hard ,but better than stock shift install the lower spring that goes with it. That is an expensive spring, the brown one isn't.
