Shuddering during shifting

I have a 1997 F150 with a 4.6L V8, 148K miles that has a transmission that shutters when I accellerate on the gas. I was planning to have the transmission flushed and replace the fluid but have read some of the posts here and it seems that replacing the plug/plug wires/cap and rotor should fix that problem. Do you agree?

Well, since your truck doues not have a cap and rotor, having the other items done should help your issue. Typically the tranny flush helps a lot.

The red lubeguard is to prevent sticky valves. It is good stuff and I won't knock it ,but it would have no effect here. The green lubeguard is mercon V additive to convert mercon to Mercon V. I have tried it a few times and sometimes didn't give me any problems. It doesn't seem to be enough to me, maybe a couple bottles would work, but I'd sooner just buy the mercon V fluid. You just needed to change your fluid or your fluid was low.
