I did a search and really turned nothing up on this which surprised me. Is there a way to take the slop out of the 5 speed mazda shifter? The tranny I am talking about has about 150,000 miles on it. I have heard for other vehicles it is as simple as changing a bushing on the top of the tranny where the shifter engauges the linkage. Is this common to this tranny too or is it likely that the linkage is just really worn or something else entirely.

Any thoughts would be appreciated
