Which Gear Ratios?

Which Gear Ratios?

I plan to add approx. 5 inches in lift along with 35's for tires and need to know which gear ratio I should go with for a 1998 xlt 4x4 4.6 ....Thanks

I wouldn't go less than 4.10's IMO.

See above at a minimum and 4.56s will wake the truck up but your mpg may suffer.

with that engine i also recomend 4.56 you might lose a few mpg but will gain performance and maybe a mpg more in the city

I would get the 4.56:1 gears. You are not just turning taller tires but heavier ones too. That takes more torque than you would think.
