Transmission shutter

I recently had the fluid and filter changed in my tranny and a few days later, I started to get a shutter at around 100 km/hr. I have read here that this may be caused by the garage not using the correct fluid.

My question is: If I take the tranny out of OD and put it into drive, the shutter is reduced by at least half. Would this be consistant with the problem being the fluid or would it be more in line with the trouble coming from the converter?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I forgot to mention that this is for a '93 aerostar, electronic 4wd (although the 4wd module is fried) with 339,000 km.

Sounds like a bad plug wire to me.

Question

OK, I'll bite. What would a plug wire have to do with it?

If the engine misses while in lockup you will feel a shudder through the transmission. That aerostar did not require mercon V fluid. The converter clutch on those aerostars was plenty sufficient, It was stronger than the rest of the transmission.
