Direction of Trans Fluid

I have a 2000 F150 4X4 with a tow package. I am trying to install a trans. temp gauge and I need to find the line that comes out of the trans., before any coolers. I have the stock trans. cooler as well. So my question is, does the fluid go to the coolant radiator first and then to trans. cooler or does it do just the opposite, the trans. cooler and then the coolant radiator.
Any help would be appreciated. I have done many searches but haven't gotten a clear answer. Nobody ever mentioned the coolant radiator in the cooling process of the trans. fluid.

Thanks.

If it is a 4r70w trans the bottom line is the feed line. If it is a 4r100 the front line is feed.
