When checking my tranny fluid, the stick handle is way the hell down there next to the upper intake. Is this suppose to be down in there. You have to reach all the way down and your hand touches the HOT upper intake. Just got the truck, 1990 F-150 5.8ltr Lariat. I'm wondering if the tube has been replaced at some point and I'm reading the incorrect fluid level. Here's some pics:
