Possible Transmission problem

Question Possible Transmission problem

Alright i took my Ford Exlporer to a shop & they they tester on it. They came up w/these two codes: 1) P0420-bank1, 2)P0304 cylinder 4 misfire. Does anybody have an idea as to my next step?

The P0420 is a catalyst below normal, but that could be caused by the P0304 misfire. Find out why the #4 cylinder in the firing order is misfiring, and that should fix both codes.

Check the spark plug and coil that are firing that cylinder.
