I realize that this was posted in Engines forum and needed to be posted here:


My 4r70w tranny has a bad spot in the flywheel due to a bad OEM starter. How difficult is it to remove the flywheel without dropping the tranny? Has anyone done this before?

Any instructions?

you're not gonna remove the flywheel witout droppin the tranny the torque converter is connected to the crank and you have to drop the tranny to get it off the input shaft

 

You must remove the transmission or the engine to change the flex plate. Your choice.
