Question TSB 98-4 Question

While crawling under my truck this afternoon I saw an orange sticker on the driver's side of the transmission labeled as follows:

US & Canadian Dealers Only
1999 4R70 Transmissions
PRIOR TO SERVICING
See TSB 98-4
Anyone have an idea what this sticker refers to?

Thanks,

Brian [><]

I swear I did a search for this thing and didn't see anything. So now that we know what the TSB says, what in the heck does it mean? It sounds like there's something wrong with the trannie that can't be serviced or repaired, which means that if it ever goes I'm going to have to install a new trannie. It kinda worries me.

Thanks for the reply.

Steve said not to worry about it at the end of his post because the expiration date expired a long, long time ago!

The sticker means Ford was tracking some change in the transmission. They want any repair called in to the factory to see how much of an improvement the change made. That's all it is.
