My Brother-in-law just bought a '99 F-250 with the 5.4 and
(I'm assuming) the 4R100W trans.

Does the -100 have the T/C drain plug like the -70 does?

Secondly, I assume the use of MERCON V is recommended?

While I'm posting, are there any F-250 specific issues he needs to know about? I'm very familiar with most of the F-150 problems, as my '99 is a poster child for most of them.

The 4R100 takes Mercon and has a torque convertor drain plug up until the build date 8-11-2001. Don't use Mercon V.
