Can anyone help. I am trying to replace the lower shift boot on my 97 f150 5 speed tranny.
It is a smooth rubber boot that mounts below the accordian style boot that you can see from inside the truck. It was mysteriously torn after a recent transmission repair(I knew I heard road noise under there when it came back from the shop last time!).
The ford dealers in my city can not agree on a part number for the boot. Anyone have access to this info? And by the way, how could that thing have been torn unless someone was just plain being an idiot? Thanks in advance. Jim
