1995 Eagle Vision

O.K.

Here is my situation;

My friend gave me his car because he was buying a neew one. It is an Eagle Vision 1995 esi, 3.3L. He said there was a transmission problem and I should have it checked. Well I did and they told me there was nothing wrong. Now let me explain to you that when I drive my car for around 30-45 min. When I come to a complete stop it feels like something is tugging (don't really know how else to explain it). Almost feels like it's changing gears hard. I have an automatic transmission by the way. Then after a few times of this it goes into that L3 gear and will not come out till I shut the car off and let it rest.

Now I have done some research on this and the eagle has a smart trans that goes int the L3 to prevent and further damage. I looked it up on counless web sites and looked for answers. Then my friend said his new chrysler MX300 was doing the same thing and that he brought it back to the dealer and was told that his speed sensors were bad. $185 dollars to fix as opposed to $2000 for new trans. I also had my speed sensors checked and they to were bad but now my car still has the same problem.

Does anybody know anything on this or have any suggestions?

thanks
