Ftvb ?

I have 150k miles on my 99 Expy. I am thinking of installing the a FTVB when I change out my tranny pan next weekend. I know I will have to have my chip reburned. But what my question is will it hurt my transmision with that many miles on it. Thanks in advance for any help.

It won't change the general condition of the transmission. It cuts down on heat and additional wear at any mileage. It does not cause chip reprogramming, unless the line pressure on the chip combined with the mechanical valve body is too firm. In other words, the FTVB works fine without a chip (I'm sure you know this already).

Thanks for the help. My chip does change my shift points and firms them up quite a bit, and I was told that a reburn would be recomended. I will get the reburn done at FFW when JDM is out here. It will suck not having my chip in for a week but oh well better safe than sorry.

In all honesty, his precious feelings got hurt because I was one of over a dozen people that asked him politely to turn off his caps locks in all of his posts for over a month. He didn't know that the entire internet world has been operating this way forever even though in his profile he lists computers as his main interest.
