5.4 use same 4r70W tranny?

does the 1997 f-150 with the 5.4L motor use the same 4r70w trans? thanks

Some do, some don't........... Check the door jamb sticker and look under TRANS and if it's a "U", it's the 4r70. If it's an "E", it's a e4od (later called the 4r100)
