Transmission flush problems

I have taken my 1998 F-150 to two different service places to get a transmission flush, and both time's they back the tubing nut out of the bushing that goes to the radiator, but they can't get the tubing to come out of the bushing, thus making it impossible to hook up the flush machine. I have also heard pro's and con's on flushing trans' in this manner. Am I better off just dropping the pan and changing it myself?

This older thread should answer your question:

I'd say you should DIY. It took me, a non-mechanically inclined individual, less than 3 hours to complete and I knew the job was done correctly with the correct fluid.
