anybody if it is possible and/or whats involved in changing a 2000 f-150 4.2l 5 speed into an automatic, I have a trans from a 2002 supercrew is the bellhousing the same and will the flexplate bolt up how about the starter gears and the computer, any help or am I just asking for way to much work? any way to put the 5-speed into the supercrew?

 

bu the way the supercrew has the 5.4

 

4.2 bellhousings are not the same as the 5.4. The 5.4's were not available with 5-speeds.
