What transmissions came in the 2003 Supercrews with the 5.4L motor and towing package, and also what came in the 2000 F-150s with the 5.4L motor and towing package? Im trying to locate a shift kit and I need to know what transmission is in the trucks. I dont know if its a 4R70W, E4OD, or the Lightning tranny, or something else.

Any help is appreciated.

 

A Lightning tranny.... A bit of an optimist, ah?

Ford pretty much phased out use of the 4R100 transmission in regular duty F-150s in 1999. Before 2000 model year, it was an option with the 5.4L equipped trucks.

The Vehicle Certification Label on the driver side door:

U=4R70W
E=4R100

 

I couldnt remember the model number. . . . Im own a Gen 1 Lightning, nothing newer lol
