my brothers 98 f150 that used to be mine gave up the ghost today. slips real bad going into reverse and all forward gears may as well be nuetral. we have an opportunity to get a wrecked f150 real cheap and i was thinking of a swap. will a 4wd transmission work on a 2wd, even if i have to swap tail shafts and housings it wouldnt be a prb, also is there any difference in bellhousing bolt up between 5.4 and 4.6? i dont know which engine the wrecked one has. also are there different options on automatic transmissions, like some have e4od and some have the 4r70w? thanks guys any help is appreciated
