Question 4R70W build up

I am looking into the supercharger scenario for my 'Screw and figure the tranny will need some work.

Does anyone have a reference guide to building 4R70Ws, or at least a good shop that knows what they are doing to increase the HP / Torque capability of the 4R70W ?

I would prefer to swap for a 4R100, but it appears to be really difficult...

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

This article has been linked to a number of times and gives a good basic overview:

Please keep in mind that this is for a car version of the 4R70. It does, however, offer some ideas. There is also contact information to get the shop manual for the 4R70 which would be very useful for rebuilding purposes.

As for a shop that does rebuilding, that is more difficult. I am not sure if Gregg Evans (Factory_Tech) is rebuilding 4R70's yet but he is definitely someone to talk to. Finding a good shop really depends on where you are located.

We have some 4R70W Monster Boxes in test now, they should be saleable by the end of the year.

Factory_Tech,

I need a new transmission now. Do you need a guinea pig to test your new transmission? If not, what should I make sure is in the performance transmission I purchase?
