Help! My Awesome '97 5.4 Supercab all of a sudden will not shift up to 3rd from 2nd! There was a slight sign of slippage beforehand, but nothing major. All I know is that I parked it overnight and the problem magically appeared.

Anyone have any imput that I might use to diagnose a fix? Or do I, gulp, have to find a replacement?

Well, now I'm glad this post got no reply. I discovered on the way to take my truck to be checked out, it was fine. One of my muchkins must have clicked me in and out of four wheel drive.

It is fine!! I feel so dumb. But I am very happy to know that not only do I have a considerable financial relief, but my truck is still a flawless operating machine. I love it!!
