I took my transmission to the shop to fix my front pump, and got that down, I had them go over my valve body to make sure everything was in tact. They said everything was ok. After I hooked everything up and got fluid in it and got it started and running, it will only go into park, reverse, and neutral, but when it gets into drive 2 and 1, it just acts like it is in neutral and wont move at all. Can anyone here help me. My transmission is full of fluid and I dont know what to do. The tranny is a C4 piece of crap. Thank you for your help.

How did they check the valve body?Did they take it apart?If so,did they leave any parts out?Did they tighten/torque all the bolts?Are you sure the trans. is full of fluid?

 

All of my fluid was in tact, they didnt take apart the whole valve body, my torque converter is as tight as I could get it, and I finally got it to go into drive, 1 and 2. There is only one problem, to get it into drive, I have to put it in reverse and then slam it into drive while going like 4 mph in reverse. And after I get it into gear, once my rpms get above 2 grand my tranny grinds, any ideas now?
