I just bought a 92 ford 4x4 5.8 with the E4OD, I got the truck cheap (they said it had a bad transmission) and am expecting to put a transmission in it, but after driving it it runs really well and shifts good, except it dose not have OD, and when you are driving and turn OD off it shift into 2nd. The other problem is that reverse is not there. You shift into reverse and it acts like it is not in gear, nothing happens, no noise, nothing. Is there any thing that could be wrong with it or should I quit dreaming and replace the transmission?

Sounds to me like you Rev-High clucth pack is burnt or not applying. Its required for Rev,3rd, and 4th (along with other componets) . Get ready to spend some money!
