What are the manual tranny sensors?

I was underneath of the truck last night changing the coolant and took a look at the tranny. I noticed a number of sensors connected and was wondering if they can be tapped for a gauge. I would suspect one to be fluid temperature.

Just wondering if was something worthwhile to keep an eye on with a gauge.

Don't worry about the oil temp in your manual tranny. Your clutch will let go long beforw you burn up the oil. The sensor you probably saw was the back up light sensor and the VSS. If you insist a sensor could be tapped into the side of the tranny but it isn't worth monitoring.

I wish mine would over heat and melt down then I could justify doing something with it. It is hard to get into gear and does not shift well either. Remember this transmission is made for a compact Mazda truck.

Thanks for the help JMC. Sounds like I'm good to go. I'm in a gauge-crazy mood I guess.

I've had no problems with the transmission at all thus far. Amsoil seemed to help the shifting to smooth out quite a bit.
