My truck has a very tempermental downshift. It has done this since buying it about a year ago. It seems like sometimes it is stuck in 2nd off the line and sometimes will downshift at WOT other time not (when cruising). For example when driving along at 40 mph or so if I press the gas 3/4 it will down shift once, then at WOT it will gear right down and take off great. Problem is that it is very tempermental. Another mile down the road I will slow to the same speed and punch it and it will stay in OD or only downshift slightly. I have been living with the issue because of the fact when it actually shifts correctly it really goes. Also when accelerating/merging it sometimes will shift from 3 to OD really quick. In split second.( But I can feel it hit each gear it just shift so darn fast)
As for off the line..No rubber at all, just a short pinging like it was a manual tranny starting in 2nd. I thought this may be because small engine, big truck, good grip but I have started in 1,2 not D and there is no difference.

I have changed the tranny fluid and filter (tc too) and nothing changed. I have 265/75/16 tires so my speedo is out a tad. New plugs filters etc. Purrs like a kitten. Never have any codes other than a fixed misfire.

Are there any sensors that can be adjusted. I was thinking about an adjustment to the TPS because it seems that if I could just push the peddal down another 1/2inch she would downshift for me. I even so far as make sure my floormat wasnt in the way.
