Hi..really glad to find a board like this..
My friends truck (my friends problem right now) 1992 F150 with a straight 6 I believe it be a 300ci.

Driving along in stop and go traffic and it stopped. And it did not go again. Haven't checked any fuses yet haven't heard the noises it may be making. Haven't seen the truck myself.

Quoted 2000$CDN to fix this problem. I don't know what transmission this would be but apparently for this year there were two options and this tranny has the second lever for the kick down if that makes sense to anyone.

I'm thinking about trying to get a transmission from a wreckers and taking my chances. Will any other transmission couple up to the bellhousing without changing the driveshaft lenght etc?
Any help would be really appreciated,
