rpms drop during 1-2 shift then jump up again

rpms drop during 1-2 shift then jump up again
'02 5.4 4r70w. when shifting from 1st to 2nd under light-moderate acceleration, the rpms will drop down to about 1200-1400 then jump back up to normal (1800-2000). anybody have some ideas why it might be doing this? is this something i should worry about?
