Transmission
I need help. I trashed my transmission into different pieces. I know that jet chip sell transmissions. But, I don't know what type I have. I own a 99 4.2 V6 f150 supercab. Auto. Any help would be appreciated. thanks. Also, if any one has one for sale. Email me immediately. ynosevol@bellsouth.net

Your transmission is a 4R70W. If you buy a used transmission, it may be necessary to get it from a 1999-on model or your computer could have some issues.
A rebuild is around $1,400.00+. If you search the internet, you can find tougher build-ups of the 4R70W that may be more difficult for you to break

thanks for the info. I just got a qoute from a tranny shop for $1200 today for a rebuild. I can believe that my drive shaft is made of aluminum. No other truck I know is like this unless it is setup for racing.
