Talking Calling Factory Tech

Hi,
I guess this could be for anyone with some info on it. I'm in the neighbor hood for a valve body for my 4R70W tranny. I heard awhile back that Factory Tech was in the makes with one. So I guess what I'm asking is if he has made one and if and where can you buy one? well any info on this would be great thanks

It's coming very soon, I have one more test I want to try, then they'll be ready. I sort of put it on the back burner around the holidays, when I orginally planned to have it, I had to build a few Monster Boxes for the upcoming race season, I had 3 snow plow trannies to build, converter testing, some side work for dealers etc... and I had ton of writing to do for both the web site and some stuff I'm working on, (I think I'm gonna go back to school in June), but I'm on it now.

It's a shift improver. Basically a lot of people asked em to build something for the 4R70W that does what my 4R100 kits do, but the 4R70W controls the tranny very differently, so it took me a while to come up with something that was easy enough to install if you don't have any special tools or training. It won't fix a broken tranny (unless the broken part is the main control) but it makes the shifts better, or decreases duration.

I'm waiting somewhat patiently for the 4R70W version to be ready. Any update on when and how much?

I have very limited availibility at first, but I have a few ready. Because I only have a few, they'll be listed on E-bay first, at less than list price. I'll have them listed by Saturday.

Ebay, dang! How long before you are producing in greater quantities, etc. so we don't have to bid against each other?

I have riden in a 2000 Lighting with your valve body, will it shift similar to that for the 4R70W, and will it work with a 95 4R70W? I already ahve a TransGo shift kit, rebuilt tranny (using the parts that levle 10 does to make the bullet proof ones), and a custom 2200 rpms converter, will your VB shift any better that the TransGo does?

Right now I'm only working on the 98 and newer models. I'll try to get the earlier models before long, but they're not interchangeble easily, the wiring is different mostly. I'm trying to duplicate what the 4R100 kit does, I've ridden in one and I think it's a pretty good copy of the feel. I have no idea how any of the other kits work, never tried any of them.

The E-bay auctions will have a buy it now, or maybe a dutch auction, I'm not trying to get the price up, I'm just trying to keep from getting swamped with orders I can't fill. The retail price is gonna be $225 and they'll be ready for regualr orders in 3 weeks give or take. The E-bay listing will prolly start at $185 with buy it now for $215.
Because of how the 4R70W is designed, the install is more involved for this one, but you can still do it yourself.

Thanks. More involved than removing and replacing the valve body?

I never knew there were any real differences, other than newer shift solenoids.

The wiring harness and wiring blukhead are different, you can convert it but it's kind of involved, more than I feel good about selling to someone who's afraid to dig on it. I may give instructions to someone who want to convert it. I have 4 of the old ones here I could build if someone's interested.

Greg,

How do you feel about Jerry Wroblewski's "Jerry Mod" for the 4R70W.

All it is is drilling out 11 holes in the seperator plate, and replacing the two 1-2 springs and removing the 2-3 spring. It has basically been proven in the mustang field. And is very inexpensive.
