Does anyone know what type of transmission the 2001 supercrew 4x4 has in them?
Also I'm looking for the overdrive gear ratio # so i can figure out a cruising RPM with a gear change.

If memory serves me correctly, all 4x4 have 4R100 trans in them.

As for the OD ratio, got me don't have a 4R100, and not in front of my Service manual CD right now to look it up.

I'll try to remember to take a look later, if nobody posts the answer.

When you open the door to your truck, look to the right on the door jam, and you will see a white sticker, look up your tranny code, if it is "U" you have the 4R70W, otherwise it will be the 4R100, I dont know the code for it. Gear ratios are as follows:

4R70W
1st - 2.84
2nd - 1.55
3rd - 1.00
4th - .70

4R100
1st - 2.71
2nd - 1.53
3rd - 1.00
4th - .71

 

Mine is listed as: 4R70W 4 SPD AUTO

 

Mine also was a "U".
