New Transgo Shift Kit Installed!!

TALK ABOUT NICE, TIGHT, FIRM SHIFTS!!!

Just installed the new Transgo Shift Kit: AODE-HD2 Electronic AOD Reprogramming Kit

All I can say is'WOW' It shifts so quickly if you are just going along at normal sreet speeds that you hardly know it has shifted. But, when you get on it, you really notice how quick and firm the shifts are: they actually fell like someone just smacked your rear bumper!! No fooling!!

You might think this is hard on your transmission, but what really puts more wear on your clutch packs is factory, soft, slow shifts.
Because they are so slow and soft that they cause wear while slipping to give you that "soft" shift feeling. Firm shifts cause a lot lest wear....unless you are gunning it all the time. That will put wear on everything.

Just my 2-cents worth....

Just wondering

Glad to hear you like the shift kit. I have had mine in for about a month and really like it. However, I just put in the shift kit and 1st to 2nd is a nice kick but seems soft 2-3 and 3-4. It's alot better than stock but not the kick I expected. I was wondering, did you put in the shift kit or reprograming kit.

Bill,

Would you mind sharing the part number and price paid for the shift kit? Also, where purchased. Sounds like you have a "new" truck.

It is a TRANSGO Reprogramming Kit for Professional Use Only. Part Number AODE-HD2.

The kit cost me retail $125 and since the transmission was all apart it cost $125 to have it installed. $250 total. I would just go to GOOGLE and plug in TRANSGO. Your Ford Transmission man can linie you up with where to buy it locally.

Hope this has helped.

HI!... I Luv my TRANSGO shift kit. I have mine set on the highest setting plus have my custom programed SUPERCHIP crank up the shift firmness. Take a listen to this 1ST to 2ND upshift.

Cool

HI!... ROUSHFAN-1 : The trucks coming along good but slow. Still trying to pay off last years debts. I've done a lot of mods to the truck since the last time out to the strip. Saving up for slicks and wider rear rims right now. Hoping to break into the high 13's this spring in N/A mode.
