I have a '97 F150 ext cab ORP, with towing package. I have a 4.6L auto with 3:55LS. I race motorcycles and have been looking at the campers that haul bikes in them when the sofa's or folded up...the smaller ones weigh in a bit over 5,200 empty...I am afraid with the tanks full and a couple bikes in them I will be pushing it to the limits with this truck...I live in Indiana so my trips wouldn't usually be in the hills, but I hate to get something that I can't head south with if I want. Do I need a new truck? Thanks

 

It will pull it, but you won't have much power & won't be able to stop very well at all, but it will do it.

 

Your truck can handle it for now but I would be saving up for either the F150 7700 package with 5.4 or go up to a Super Duty F250.
