Towing with an f150
Towing with an f150
Has anyone towed a 5th wheel with a f150 for long distances. I currently own a 2011 F250 6.7 diesel. My 5th wheel has a dry weight of 11665 lbs., payload capacity of 3751 lbs. Hitch weight of 1505 lbs. I travel from Michigan to Florida each winter. I have heard mixed messages on the f150s ability to safely tow a 5th wheel?
i would a airbags. Higher rear axle ratio, etc.
Thanks for the help

I would stick with the F250 with the 6.7l diesel for that kind of towing.
My next truck is going to be an F350 with a diesel, whenever that'll be. Not a priority right now.
I have other vehicles to justify driving around town. But I want something that can tow a house away if I need it.

I believe the f150 is too small. My problem is that the new f250s are to high to fit in my garage. I don't want to have to redo my garage door/frame/etc. I wish They would lower the f250s.
thanks for the input.
