Question Fastway E2 v Equalizer Weight Distribution Hitch

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of these hitches. I am looking at travel trailers and want a solid hitch. I have heard good things about the Equalizer but never heard of the Fastway.

Thanks in advance,

I have installed a lot of Equalizer systems they work pretty good but mostly we instal them on trailers with low hitch height for better ground clearance. Seeing the price difference odds are we will try the Fastway setups next year depending on show specials.

I was pretty much set on the Equalizer and that was the cheapest I could find it... but then I saw the Fastway. Hmmm...

I have read some folks complaining about the Equalizer making a loud "popping" noise when turning, some say it is normal and will go away, some say it is due to a bad install. Is that something I should even worry about?

I have the equalizer with the 4 point sway system and like it. We have virtually no sway with a 6500# TT. When first installed, it did pop while backing into camping spots but I greased the 4 spots that are supposed to be greased on a regular basis and all popping went away. I have heard nothing about the other hitch.

I have the Fastway E2 12k variant. FYI, they are the same company.

FireBean,
I know it's been a while since you've purchased the Fastway E2. How do you like it?

I love it...

Over the holidays we went on about a 2K mile trip; the anti sway on this is pretty awesome. We hit some strong cross winds all the way from Tx to FL since a storm front decided to follow us. The truck and trailer felt like one unit oppose to the trailer pushing me around.

It did take me a couple of hours getting it setup correctly but its not difficult as long as you have the right tools.

I would Highly recommend this to anyone!
