Beware of Rockwood's camper quallity and (1) year warranty
I had a friend of mine recently send me pictures of his 2011 Rockwood Windjammer frame breakage and cracking. Since I repair trailers for a living he was asking my advise on possible repair. I stated to him that although it is possible to repair the frame that trailer should really be condemned and he should contact the manufacturer for warranty issues.
He contacted his Rockwood dealer and they told him it has a 1 year warranty and even though it is a 2011 model it was purchased in late 2010 and the year warranty is up. My issue is not with the warranty being expired.
My issue is with the poor quality as seen here that Rockwood (at least the dealer) will not stand behind their product.
BTW this is a daily use camper as a living space not for recreational use.
Here are the pics and decide for yourself:

Wow..
Is that the front of the trailer or the rear? The last pic looks like the A frame where the propane tanks ride?
Looks like pretty thin gauge "I" beam material too.. I'm pretty sure my "I" beam is thicker than that!

My parents have a 2008 Okanagon Eclipse that did basically the same thing. Warranty was within the time period, but the company had since gone under. Long story short, the rv dealer stepped up and fixed it free of charge
I took a look around and could not find anything like NHTSA that you could report to. However, there are many sites that deal with camping and RVs. You might try posting on those sites and let them know to stay away. If nothing else, it might save someones life. Maybe even get the camper manufacturer to deal with the problem.
All the breaks/cracks are in the tongue area. Most of it is contained to the area where the a-frame tongue attaches to the box frame area.
These folks are now not able to move on to another job site (unable to move trailer safely) for employment and are at the mercy of their insurance company on replacement/repair.

Might want to reread the original post.
