I have a 2001 F-150 supercrew with the tow package. Does this include a battery isolator? If I leave the trailer hooked up to the truck will it drain the battery on the truck to charge the battery on the trailer?

Also has anyone installed a solar powered trickle battery charger on their RV's? Do they work well? How much do they cost?

Nope. The battery circuit is only hot when the key is on.

There is a relay in the engine bay relay box that sends power to the hitch plug only when the ignition is on.

You should make sure that it is there. I found out that mine wasn't installed at the factory (I do have trailer tow) and my trailer was not getting charged!

There were two relays in the bag with the wire harness for the trailer brake from the factory. I just plugged them in when I installed my trailer brake.
