Considering my last truck (99 Ranger with 4.0 V6) towed my 19' boat with little complaining, I would think you'll be ok...

Can't wait till summer so I can see how my
98 F150 4x4 does with it

Hope that helps

You should be fine for power. I would add a transmission cooler if you don't already have one.

The UHaul trailers have surge breaks, so you don't need a controller or anything, just a 4 prong plug.

I had a '90 Bronco 4X4 Eddie Bauer 5.8L and towed a, loaded, 12'X8' U-Haul from Seattle to Washington DC (3400 miles). It was during the summer, no problems at all. Pulled it over the Rockies and Appalachians without overheating, or loss of performance. The only issue (not really a problem) was I had filled the power steering reservoir prior to leaving and it ended up being over-full, so it pushed some out around the cap. The only thing it did was get it on the trailer, and all over the underside of the truck.
You shouldn’t have any problems at all. Good luck!
