Post Hidden Receiver Hitch?

Hello all,

I have been looking for a nicely hidden hitch to install and so far I have only come up with the boxy types that hang down below the bumper.

I even went to a "Hidden Hitch" dealer to look at what they had and they were the absolute worst!! They should be renamed to "Super Hang Down Low-N-Ugly" for the F-150's.

I have seen one round tube unit that was very sharp as you could only see the receiver tube itself, the problem was this was at a red light and I did not want to freak the guy out by running up to his window and asking him what kind of hitch it was.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Check with your Ford dealer. The hitch that comes with the truck looks like a Hidden Hitch to me. All I can see are the receiver and plate metal ears for the chains.

Try your local U-Haul shop. That's where I got the "hidden" round-tube hitch for the Expedition. Prices are reasonable, too.

B777,
I saw a tube reciever hitch in a magazine that was pretty sharp. It was in the Performance Products (for your Ford)Catalog pg. 42, ref.# 2245. They web site is www.performance products.com. It was in my mail box just the other day. I think i may have seen it also in a JC Whitney but not for sure. It is made by hidden hitch and is brand new, costs $198, kind if high. Maybe check out a website for Hidden Hitch. Good luck.

Try Valley hitch from Cabelas Catalog or Tractor supply, that is what i have and all you see is the receiver part.

I put a hidden hitch on mine. It is just like the factory hitch, only the receiver shows. I don't know what your dealer showed you, but hidden hitch does have a truly "hidden hitch" for the late model F-150. Mine was only around $150 installed.

Another nice thing about this hitch is that it is completely welded, not bolted together. This bumps the max trailer weight to 6000lbs instead of 5000lbs.
