Question Trailer brake controller ???

Hi All,
New to this forum !

I just got a new F-150 Lariat (2010) with bucket seats/center console supercab.
It has the "tow package" with the 3.55 rear axle.
However I did not get the OEM brake controller, as I have an "Odissey" brake controller that works well and I have the Ford harness.
I already put the relay and fuse in the fuse box.

Two questions:

- Where do you guys mount the brake controller ?
On my previous vehicle, it fitted nicely under the dash, but on this one it would hit my leg. I was thinking on the side of the center console ?

- Where the heck is the connector ??? Looked all around under the dash, couldn't find the thing !!!

Thanks.
J.F.

I don't do many controllers in F150's, but in the newer SuperDuty trucks it is attached to the back of the cover plate where the factory in dash controller is. Just pop out the cover plate... it if isn't attached there it will be just behind the cover.

This truck doesn't have a cover plate; it has a little bin to put a cell phone where the OEM brake controller would be; removing it seems a major project, need to remove part of the center console trim.
I'll remove the bottom trim, under the steering wheel and see if I can find it.

Thanks

That little bin pops out... forward .
You can either pry it out or push it out from behind.

ya if you want to f### up your dash.
the Ben or pocket you are looking at is held in with two 8 mm screws.
the non counsole trucks you can remove the trim easy and get to the screws as for the console style i dont know.

i know this is a old post but i had to correct colorado osprey before some one jacked up there dash listing to him (prying it out)

Under the dash and to the left. There is a perfect metal bracket there to mount it on.
