2009 E-350 trailer wiring problem
2009 E-350 trailer wiring problem
Hi guys,
I don't know if you will be able to help me but I saw some other threads that had some good info.
Here's my story. I bought an 09 e350 superduty used. It did not come with a hitch. However, it did come with a tow/haul button, trans cooler, oil cooler. Tow package or not, I don't know. I bought a tekonsha brake controller and adapter for this model. I found the plug behind the dash where the factory brake controller would have been located.
I bought the 7/4 pin wiring harness for the back but I cannot find the plugs. There is one plug that terminates at a hunk of plastic but not much else. Really the only other wires I see are for the reverse sensors. Is it possible that they are not back there? Could the adapter for the brake controller wires go no where?
I've searched the net and found very little info. Any help or direction would be much appreciated.
frustrated mike.

I may be completely off base, but on the few vans I have done (Dodge,Chevy & Ford) some had the trailer brake/charge line wires terminated under the hood or under the cab. The reason was so many vans are sold incomplete as boxes. So few are also used for towing that I don't belive that I have ever seen one with a twoing package.
There is a good chance you'll be doing some wiring....not just a plug and play
