08 AWD Harley trans gone

I have a 2008 F150 Harley AWD truck with 16302 miles on it. Last week I heard a whining noise, took it to the dealer and they told me that my “pilot bearing” might be bad and that there is a service bulletin for it.
My question is I tow a 8x18 carmate trailer with a Jr Dragster in it (about 300lbs) do you think I caused the tranny to go by pulling the trailer?

Not sure how much the empty trailer weighs but it can’t weigh any where close to 5000lbs.

Thanks
tut

Do you turn off OD when you tow? You should.

I was thinking the same thing?? I thought those were for those with a clutch pedal?? Might be right up there with that 'muffler bearing'..

Well, hopefully it's still under warranty whatever the issue is?

Good luck!

if there is a TSB on it, then i doubt it's anything you did.

tow package should come with a cooler yes.

only reason you'd need to lock OD off is if your trans is hunting up and down for a comfortable gear. But usually you will make it hotter by running it at 3k rpms just cruising.

That's good to hear. Sucks being without a truck for a week though.
