08 AWD Harley trans gone
08 AWD Harley trans gone
I have a 2008 F150 Harley AWD truck with 16302 miles on it. Last week I heard a whining noise, took it to the dealer and they told me that my “pilot bearing” might be bad and that there is a service bulletin for it.
My question is I tow a 8x18 carmate trailer with a Jr Dragster in it (about 300lbs) do you think I caused the tranny to go by pulling the trailer?
Not sure how much the empty trailer weighs but it can’t weigh any where close to 5000lbs.
Thanks

I was thinking the same thing?? I thought those were for those with a clutch pedal?? Might be right up there with that 'muffler bearing'..
Well, hopefully it's still under warranty whatever the issue is?
Good luck!

I asked the same thing about the pilot bearing. was told there is one.
yes it is under warrenty. just a real pain the A$$, i need my truck my son races on the weekend, dealer told me not sure when they will get to it.
no i left the o/d on, towed on flat roads. but will turn it off now.
anyone know if with the tow package there is a trans cooler?

x2 if there is a TSb I highly doubt you did anything to it
as far as getting to the track this weekend, grab a u-haul truck if you have to, if i was closer I'd help you out

tow package should come with a cooler yes.
only reason you'd need to lock OD off is if your trans is hunting up and down for a comfortable gear. But usually you will make it hotter by running it at 3k rpms just cruising.
