Air Bag Lines...to T or not to T??

Just a gee whiz question...do you guys have your bags set up with a T and only one valve for air, or do you have two separate independent lines running??

I have two separate ones, but been thinking...if one were to ever go out, I'd want the other to go also. I would have no need for one side to retain air. Also, after about a year + with bags, I've discovered I have zero need for side to side balancing...it's all or none. I use them just for the trailer.

But, if you had a common line, how would that affect handling? Theoretically, it would let air transfer back and fourth between bags and may not be as stable as two separate lines.

Just bored and thinking out loud...what do you guys have?

If you are only using the bags for towing there is no need for seperate lines as the weight will always be balanced in the center of the vehicle (side to side) because the tow ball or 5'er is placed in the center of the vehicle.

I have only mounted 1 set with seperate fill lines. All of the other hundereds have had a common line. I believe having seperate lines is rarely if ever needed for towing.

I have both. I have the Air Lift Load Controller pump which use a single feed line to both air bags. I also have tee'd from each air bag to manual fill valves in the event the pump fails. Sort of a redundant system that is really simple to do. As Colorado says, there really is no need to separately fill each air bag unless you have a really unbalanced load which if you do, will probably result in an unsafe driving condition anyway.

My thought was that you would get a little more side to side sway with a T, if you are using a lot of air to hold up extra weight. However I have never driven a truck setup that way, everyone I know runs seperate lines, normally filled by the license plate.
Something I thought about the other day, if I were to buy airbags I would run separate lines to the back. You could always place a simple manual valve between the two lines (think of an "H" style setup with a valve in the center) that would manually separate the bags or tie them together.
I don't know if there would be any advantage to running them together or separate, but if you got bored and curious...

I'm thinking my 06 pet has common line, I know when I'm on a hill I gots to dump my bags or the butt gets a little tight when dumping. But then I do have 1/2 lines running to them, I don't think the air transfer from one of your bags would be that fast to affect handling, buy the time the air would get there the bump would be long gone.....
