very impressed

i have a 2006 5 speed with the 4.2 (3.55s) and i have 33 1350 17 tires, i was taking a load to the dump, got on teh scale and weighed truck and trailer at 10,800 all together and i usually haul loads equal to this amount. I have to say im very impressed with this. I also had no trailer brakes and the truck handled it very well......im wonderin what would happen with 4.56 gears and more leaf springs, ummmmmmmm

Broken spring shackles, bent frame, broken u-joints and burned up clutch......

Gears and springs does not make a 1 ton truck.

Your 10k GCVW, with a 6-7k loaded trailer isn't out of load capacity for a load for any of the F150's built since 1997.

Get that trailer weight up over 10k and you'll have a load that can break stuff.

A 5 speed M5OD truck doesn't have a 10k GCWR. The input shaft is too weak. My max tow rating is 3500# and my GCWR is 7800#. I don't see where a NBS would be much, if any, higher than that.

6-7K trailer? You're saying an F-150 weighs 3-4K?? But yes, parts will soon start breaking. I can hear your clutch crying.

actually its the other way around, truck weighs 6500 and trailer is 3,000 to 4,000

i know this for a fact because my truck has been by itself on the scale
