Prodigy brake controller harness for 06 F150

I bought a Prodigy brake controller for my 06 F150 equipped with the tow package. I received it with a wiring harness for a Ford F150, except it doesnt have the correct plug. Went on the prodigy website and it said the one wiring harness is for all F150s 1994 and newer EXCEPT 2005-Present with a tow package. What harness do I need to buy? The OEM clip under the dash is kinda flat, and this harness(as well as the one pictured on prodigy's website) is boxy. Help Thanks in advance.

You aren't looking at the right plug under the dash.
The black plug you see is the OBDII diagnostic post for the truck.
Dirrectly behind it is a grey plug for the brake controller.
If you have a wiring harness for the F150-F550 '97 and newer, you have the correct harness.
2007 and newer Super Duty trucks have a different larger plug (grey colored) if you don't have the Tow Command integrated brake controller. All of the newer F150's I've put controllers in all have the same old connector that they have had since '97.

Dig a little more under/behind the OBDII port and you will see the grey plug.

Lol I meant to get on here sooner, but I figured out(eventually) that I was looking at the wrong plug.

I am quite happy with my P3 brake controller.

Yeah, mine was a a plug and play ordeal.

I had a P3 installed when I picked up my trailer. I see in the instructions that it is to be mounted level and pointed straight. They installed mine so it faces up towards me abit and were they put the holes in the dash I can't adjust it to be flat in the bracket. Does anyone foresee this being a problem?

Thanks.

No, no problem. The prodigy does not have to be mounted flat. If there was a problem (too much angle) then you would get a trouble code...basically it would flash and you wouldn't be able to use it.

Actually, The Prodigy is the only controller that can be mounted at an extreme angle..... this is more than any other. If it is too much of an angle, the screen will flash and tell you if you need to go up or down. Once it's in position you're good to go. Mine sits at the same angle as the dashboard. I have no problems with it. It's not too far from being vertical.

Ummm...There is actually quite a few that can be mounted at any angle like the Draw-Tite Activator and Activator II, Hayes Endeavor, Redline TA1200, Tekonsha Pod and Pod II and others.
Controllers like the Tekonsha Pilot can be mounted in any dirrection including backwards and upside down and will function perfectly.
In fact there is the option of flipping the display screen in the Pilot by applying the brakes when connecting the power so that if it is installed upside down the display will read correctly for you lefties.

Good. The thought of putting more holes in my dash was not making me happy.
